Sunlight Christian Academy is blessed to have a St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office School Resource Deputy stationed at our school. He works in collaboration with our security team to keep our school safe. Deputy Bill entered the Police Academy and was hired by the Fort Pierce Police Department in February of 2007. In July of 2013 he started his career at the St Lucie County Sheriff Office.
During his tenure as a Law Enforcement Officer he's had the following assignments: Road Patrol Officer, Criminal Detective, and School Resource Deputy. Currently, he is also a Field Training Officer, which means he trains new Deputies for his unit.
