Sunlight Christian Academy has created and implemented a behavior plan designed to apply evidence-based strategies to increase academic performance, increase safety, decrease problem behavior, and establish positive school cultures. This is called the Christian Character Development Program. CCDP follows the STARS expectations: S- Stay on Task, T- Take Responsibility, A- Act Safely, R- Respect Yourself and Others, S- Show God’s Love. Posters of these expectations are displayed around the school. Elementary students have the opportunity to earn STARS cards for following the STARS expectations. Preschool students earn STARS on their clip chart for following the STARS expectations. With the accumulation of STARS, students will be able to turn them in to attend monthly STARS events (elementary only) and spend them for prizes in our STARS Store (schoolwide).
