Sunlight Christian Academy offers a variety of after school programs for our K-5 students. Programs run for 12-weeks and two sessions (fall/spring) are offered annually.
Small Wonders Art K-2- Our youngest friends will get to explore their creative side with hand-on art projects with a variety of media. Group Size- 10
Artistic Expressions 3-5-We will explore different art forms, learn new techniques, and celebrate the creative minds God has given us. Group Size 10
Bakers Delight K-2, 3-5- Learn to decorate from an actual baker! Our very own Ms. Crystal will be showing our budding bakers how to decorate their very own baked goods. Group Size- 10
Basketball 2-5- students learn the game of basketball and demonstrate their skills for staff, students and families by playing in an actual game at the end of the session. Group Size - 16
Career Club Play Group K-2- students enjoy a scaffolded play environment with props, materials, supplies, and decor modeled after a variety of work environments (veterinary clinic, pizza shop, ice cream parlor, etc.) where they will work together to enjoy role playing the day-to-day aspects of potential future careers. Group size - 10
Christian Charm School 3-5- Etiquette is important! Manners and social skills will never go out of style. SCA Christian Charm school is here to help provide a firm foundation in Christ. Group Size- 12
Supernova Minis Cheer Squad K-2- our minis will focus on beginning cheerleading skills, learn a half-time dance, and demonstrate their skills for staff, students and families during an actual SCA basketball or volleyball game. Group size -14
Supernova Majors Cheer Squad 3-5- This squad will “major” in cheer technique and building more kills, learn a half-time dance, and demonstrate their skills for staff, students and families during an actual SCA basketball or volleyball game. Group size - 12
Chess Club K-5-students benefit from computer based innovative learning tools such as original stories, movement games, teamwork assignments, developmental puzzles, and more, to acquire basic beginning chess skills. Group size - 12
Gardening Club K-5 – students learn the fundamentals of gardening with a hands-on approach, tending to our beautiful Sunlight garden. Group Size - 12
Musical Theatre, Jr. K-2 – students learn a dance routine and will be featured in our spring musical theater production. Group Size - 12
Musical Theatre 3-5 - students receive training in singing, acting, dancing and performance techniques while collaborating on a musical theatre production. Group Size - 10
Tiny Tennis K-2- students will learn the fundamentals of tennis working on gross motor skills and having fun! Group Size - 12
Rising Stars Tennis 3-5- Students will continue building fundamental skills and skills and rules of a match. Beginners welcome! Group Size- 12
Reading Tutoring K-1, 2-3 - small groups of students participate in individual and group instruction/activities with a teacher to keep them on track. Group Size – 6
Math Tutoring K-2, 3-5 - small groups of students participate in individual and group instruction/activities with a teacher to keep them on track. Group Size – 6
Volleyball 2-5 - students learn the game of volleyball and demonstrate their skills for staff, students and families by playing in an actual game at the end of the session. Group Size - 16
