We are so excited to announce that construction began on our new two-story addition. This past January we held our Ground Breaking Ceremony after our Sunday Worship Service. Many people were in attendance from our Sunlight Family. We prayed over the ground and everyone had an opportunity to use a golden shovel to dig up some dirt.
Please join us in continuously praying for a smooth and successful project. We anticipate our new elementary wing will be open sometime during the 2020/2021 school year!
Our Sunlight Family has been working hard to continue to shine His light during the COVID-19 pandemic. Over Spring Break our administration and staff came together to create an amazing online learning platform which we rolled out the day our students were scheduled to return to school, and we haven't missed a beat since. Teachers are holding whole group meetings via Zoom daily, followed by small groups consisting of 5 students at a time. Every grade level has a Google Classroom providing them with instructional materials, assignments, and a forum for communication. Parents have been actively working with their students to help guide them through the process which as been a tremendous blessing. Seeing our students smile, hearing their laughter, listening to their stories; this is what brings us the most joy each day! We are so proud of our students' progress so far, and we expect to come back more united and stronger than ever! Jesus is Alive!
